How do I replace my air filter?
Confirm the size of your air filter. Remove plastic wrapping on your new filter and locate the arrows to indicate the direction of air flow. Open your air vent cover, insert the new filter with the arrows facing correctly, then shut air vent cover.
What does MERV mean in air filters?
MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Values which reports a filter’s ability to capture microscopic particles ranging from 0.3 and 10 microns (µm). The higher the MERV level, the more efficient it is at filtering microscopic particles.
What is the difference between Nominal Size and Actual Size of Air Filters?
The nominal size is a rounded number to the nearest whole or half inch, (ex: 20 x 20 x 1). The Actual Size is the exact measurement that shows the filter’s actual dimensions (ex: 19.75 x 19.75 x .75). All Air Filters display both sizes.
